and what we believe
Behavioral based interview is evaluation method candidates based on the analysis of their past experience and behavior in real work situations. In the course of such conversations the recruiter asks questions to understand how the person has responded to various professional challenges. The basic principle is that past behavior is the best indicator of how a candidate will act in the future.
Behavioral interviewing is often used to assess soft skills such as communication, leadership, adaptability and conflict management. This method helps to gain a deeper understanding of how a candidate will behave in a real work environment, rather than just relying on their resume or professional knowledge.
The interviewer asks the candidate questions that prompt the candidate to talk about specific examples from his or her professional life. For example: "Tell me about an occasion when you had to resolve a conflict in a team" or "How did you handle an urgent task under pressure?" Such questions help the employer to know what competencies the candidate possesses.
Preparation for such a behavioral interview is important for both the employer and the candidate. The latter can analyze his/her past experience in advance to present the most successful cases. The employer should be prepared not only to ask questions, but also to be able to interpret the answers.
