and what we believe
Leave of absence - it's a situation where an employee not physically present or fails to fulfill his job duties during regular working hours. It may be justified (e.g., vacation, sick leave, business travel) or unjustified (truancy, AWOL).
The reasons for absence may be different: illness, family circumstances, vacation, absenteeism or business trips. Each of these situations has its own rules and procedures, which are regulated by internal company documents and labor law.
Unjustified absence (absenteeism) can lead to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. It is therefore important to notify the employer of the reasons for absence and provide supporting documents if necessary.
Typically, companies seek to minimize unjustified absences and implement employee support programs, flexible work schedules, and monitoring systems.
