What is a career path?

Career path is the progression of steps an employee takes throughout their professional journey. It can be linear (vertical), such as moving from a trainee to a manager, or diverse (horizontal), where an employee expands their expertise in different areas without necessarily getting promoted.

Many companies create structured career plans to outline growth opportunities for employees. These plans often include training, skill development, and participation in new projects, helping employees see clear prospects for advancement.
