and what we believe
Leave of absence it’s a situation where an employee is physically not present or not performing their job duties during regular working hours. It may be justified (e.g., vacation, sick leave, business trips) or unjustified (truancy, AWOL).
The reasons for absence may be different: illness, family matters, vacation, absenteeism or business trips. Each of these situations has its own rules and procedures, which are regulated by internal company documents and labor law.
Unjustified absence (absenteeism) can lead to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. It is therefore important to notify the employer of the reasons for absence and provide supporting documents if necessary.
Typically, companies seek to minimize unjustified absences and implement employee support programs, flexible work schedules, and monitoring systems.
